Meat is our speciality but we’re far more than just a butcher’s. Although we pride ourselves on our quality beef, lamb, pork, chicken and game, we also have regular deliveries of fresh fish and shellfish from Billingsgate Fish Market in London and other suppliers in Scotland and on the south coast. We’re also lucky to have two smokeries on site.  Our smoked salmon, made in our historic cold smokery , was once served on board Concorde. Little wonder that Michelin-starred chef Heston Blumenthal once asked our advice about setting up a cold smokery. Our hot smokery produces smoked chicken, turkey or game, delicious served hot or cold. Add to this a huge range of home-made Award Winning sausages, cold hams, salamis and pates including foie gras.

Machin’s is an Aladdin’s Cave of goodies. Once you step inside you’re confronted at every turn with products that will fill any true food lover with delight. Delicious cheeses from around the UK and abroad, quails’ eggs, delicious Perard’s fish soup from France, goose fat for the perfect roast potatoes, chilli sauce for Thai cooking, coldpressed olive oils, dry truffles, a selection of  balsamic vinegars, flour milled locally at Mapledurham Mill.
